In the village of Bučje, on the right bank of the Western Morava, the vineyards of the Milosavljević family stretch across gently rolling hills. Here, vines have been cultivated since the time of the ancient Romans, attracting the attention of visitors and passersby with their beauty and cultivation methods.
The Milosavljević family has renewed, modernized, and improved their winemaking and viticulture tradition, which has spanned over five generations. Thirty years ago, Milomir left his hometown of Bučje and began to develop the multi-generational family tradition at the “Rebbaugenossenschaft Spiez” in the Swiss canton of Bern. There, he encountered German precision and French finesse, which he then passed on to his son Dragan. The Milosavljević vines flourished once again in the family vineyard, rejuvenating what previous generations had started. Today, Milomir’s son Dragan oversees four hectares of world-class varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Shiraz, as well as local varieties like Tamjanika and Prokupac.
The vineyards are greened and not plowed. No synthetic fertilizers are used, and the use of pesticides is minimized. Yield is controlled and reduced. Excess fruit and leaves are removed before ripening, with everything subordinated to quality. His name stands for first-class quality. The indigenous varieties Tamjanika and Prokupac, which have adorned the vineyards of Bučje for centuries and have been successfully preserved in this area, are now being cultivated on increasingly larger areas. In this way, “Vinarija Milosavljević” has succeeded in creating something unique and specific in the world of wine: the brand “Vila Vina,” premium and quality wines that have been perfected through the combination of the best viticultural traditions and the latest technology, which was also the goal of the Milosavljević family.
