Location: Zasad Feld vineyards Harvest: early and mid-October.
Vinification: Classic, fermentation takes place in contact with the grape skins (maceration) for 20 days in vinifiers at a temperature of 28 °C – 30 °C.
Maturation: 42 months in 225-liter oak barrels, 12 months in the bottle.
Ageing potential: Development in the bottle in good vintages progresses well up to 30 years.
About the wine: The careful selection of the best Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Vranac and Syrah grapes, their vinification and maturation in oak “barrique” barrels for 24 months, results in this great wine, which carries a unique combination of the original quality of climate, soil, vine and noble wood.
The wine has a closed ruby red color, a complex aroma of forest fruits, especially blueberries and blackberries, spicy herbs, white chocolate, with a finish reminiscent of a dewy morning on Trebišnjica.
Very rich in extract and rounded with warm tannins and a juicy fruity finish.
Wine and food: Recommended with game, steaks, pepper sauces and gorgonzola sauce, roasted lamb, smoked salmon, duck breast, goat meat, barbecue, hard cheeses.
