Just as the plum is considered the noblest tree of the rose family, JELICKI DUKAT is the “rose” among the old Serbian fruit brandies – a distillate of exceptional quality and strong character.

JELICKI DUKAT is a traditional Serbian plum brandy at 43% vol., aged for a full 12 years in oak casks. It is made from carefully selected, high-quality plum varieties from the orchards of the Prodanović family in the village of Pridvorica, on the eastern slopes of Mount Jelica near Čačak.

It matures in the Prodanović family cellars under optimal temperature and humidity. Over the years, the oak casks – mostly 500 litres – shape the distinctive aroma, the balanced structure and the exceptionally smooth taste of this fine brandy. Continuous quality control of old and new distillates keeps the quality consistently high, on the domestic and the international market alike.

A tradition since the 18th century

Making plum brandy is a centuries-old tradition in the Prodanović family, with roots going back to the 18th century in the Čačak region. In earlier times good brandy was a valuable possession – it paid for schooling, weddings and taxes and secured the future of the generations to come.

Twelve years in oak give JELICKI DUKAT its golden, amber colour, its elegant, complex taste and its particular depth.

Thanks to its 12 years of ageing, it tastes closer to a fine cognac than to a classic fruit brandy.

How to enjoy it

JELICKI DUKAT can be enjoyed at any time of day.

Recommended serving temperature: 17–20 °C in a tulip-shaped cognac glass – this is how it unfolds its full aroma.

A special experience is drinking it at around 5 °C: as the glass warms in your hand, the aromas open up step by step.

It works both as an aperitif and as a digestif.
